VIP Experiences

The things you can only do in Courchevel 1850 — booked the way we'd book them for ourselves.

Each experience is run by an operator we use personally. None of these are listed on public booking platforms.

What we arrange

  • Heli-skiing on the Italian side

    From Courmayeur · full day

    Heli-skiing is forbidden in France. We organise a chauffeur transfer through the Mont Blanc tunnel and a full day of heli-drops on the Italian side with a UIAGM guide.

  • Sunrise piste opening

    Saulire · 06:45

    First tracks down the empty Saulire before the lifts open to the public, with a piste-basher escort and Champagne breakfast at the top.

  • Private chef in chalet

    Ex-Michelin · 2–10 guests

    Tasting menus from chefs who trained at Le 1947 and La Table de l'Ours. Sommelier-paired wines on request.

  • Ice driving on Lac de Tignes

    Half-day · Porsche & Audi

    Coached ice-driving sessions on the frozen lake, two hours from 1850 by chauffeur. R8, GT3, Cayman GT4 RS.

  • Champagne house tasting

    In-chalet · with the chef de cave

    A visit from a Ruinart, Krug or Salon ambassador with a curated flight and a deep dive into the house's style.

  • Snowmobile night ride to dinner

    1850 → mountain restaurant

    Twin-seat Yamaha snowmobiles up to a private dinner at Cap Horn or Bagatelle, then back down under the stars with a guide.

  • Dog-sledding in Pralognan

    Half-day · 2–6 sleds

    A drive through the Vanoise on a team of huskies — the only properly wild experience within an hour of 1850.

  • Private Christofle dinner aboard

    Train des Neiges · 4–24 guests

    We charter a vintage carriage on the local mountain line for a private moving dinner with a 6-course menu and live string trio.

Frequently asked

  • How far in advance should we book?

    Heli-skiing, sunrise openings and the Christofle carriage need 4–6 weeks. Private chefs and ice-driving usually 2 weeks. We do work last-minute when operators have capacity.

  • What does heli-skiing on the Italian side cost?

    From €1,200 per person for a full day with three drops, guide and chauffeur transfer. Private group of four typically €5,800–€7,500 all-in.

  • Can children join?

    Yes for chef, snowmobile, dog-sledding and sunrise openings. Heli-skiing and ice driving have age and skill minimums set by the operator.
