Haute Joaillerie

Jewellery & Watches

Courchevel 1850 is the highest-altitude high-jewellery destination in Europe. The great houses arrive each December and treat the resort as a winter annex of the Place Vendôme.

The pieces are not the entry-level. Most Maisons send their most important collections — multi-million-euro creations that travel under escort. The clientele justifies it: Courchevel concentrates more private-jet arrivals per week than any other European resort.

The houses

  • DOUX Joaillier

    2 Rue du Rocher · since 1965

The resort's grande maison of fine watches and jewellery — authorised dealer for Cartier, Bulgari, Chopard, Chaumet, Breguet and Omega — and operator of the official Rolex boutique.

  • Rolex

Rue du Rocher · official boutique

The resort's official Rolex boutique — a dedicated Rolex space in the Cœur de Courchevel gallery at 2 Rue du Rocher, operated by the authorised retailer DOUX Joaillier.

  • Graff

Rue du Rocher · seasonal salon

London's most important diamantaire — Courchevel hosts the December roll-out of the new high-jewellery collection each year.

  • Espace Diamant

Rue de l'Église · jewellery gallery

An indoor gallery of some twenty-five houses carved into the mountain, home to the independent-watchmaking salon Art in Time — BOVET, Greubel Forsey, Urwerk, H. Moser and others — alongside Chopard.

Frequently asked

  • Can I try high-jewellery pieces by appointment?

Yes — every house takes private appointments through the Palace concierge networks. Champagne, a fitting and a private salon are standard.

  • Do prices in Courchevel match Paris?

Within a few per cent. The houses absorb the seasonal logistics, so the recommended price is consistent; non-EU visitors can reclaim the 20% VAT above €100.01.

  • Is secure transport for purchases arranged?

Every house arranges same-day insured transfer to your hotel safe, or directly to Geneva for onward flights.
