Scenic Flights
Summer is the Altiport's quieter season — and the best one for sightseeing. Helicopter and light-aircraft tours over Mont Blanc, the Vanoise glaciers and the Trois Vallées ridge.
Three flight categories
Mont Blanc tour · Helicopter
30 min · 4 pax
Cross the Vanoise, circle the Mont Blanc summit at a respectful distance, return via the Aiguille du Midi. The signature flight — book a clear morning.
Vanoise glaciers · Helicopter
20 min · 4 pax
Tighter loop over the Grande Casse, La Glière and the receding glaciers of the national park. Excellent for first-time helicopter passengers.
Trois Vallées loop · Light aircraft
25 min · 3 pax
From the Altiport out over Méribel, Val Thorens, Belleville and back. Lower altitude, smoother flight, the best photography option for the ski terrain you'll return to in winter.
Inter-resort transfer
On request · Charter
Helicopter transfer to Megève, Val d'Isère, Chamonix or directly to Geneva. Useful for summer multi-resort itineraries.
Pilot ride-along
Briefing + flight
Some operators offer right-seat experience in a Pilatus PC-12 or Twin Otter, with a pre-flight briefing on what makes the Altiport approach unique. Pre-book.
Frequently asked
Is summer a good time to fly?
Yes. Winter weather often grounds tourist flights; summer mornings are typically calm and clear, with crisp visibility to Mont Blanc and the Italian Alps beyond.
How early should I book?
48 hours for scheduled tours in July–August; same day is often possible in June and September. Charters need a few days of lead time.
Can I fly into Courchevel commercially?
No — the Altiport is private aircraft only. Commercial passengers fly into Geneva, Chambéry or Lyon. See the Altiport guide for runway specifics.
