Private Jet

Three airports serve a private-jet arrival into Courchevel: the Altiport (5 minutes from the village, light aircraft only), Chambéry (90 minutes by road) and Geneva (2h15). Each unlocks a different mission profile.

The Altiport is the dream — door to chalet inside 20 minutes — but its 537-metre uphill runway accepts only a handful of certified airframes and only in daylight. Most large-cabin jets route into Chambéry or Geneva, with a helicopter transfer over the final ridge.

Where to land

  • Courchevel Altiport (CVF)

    2,008 m · light jets only

Pilatus PC-12, PC-24, Cessna Citation Mustang, King Air, Twin Otter, TBM 940. DGAC mountain certification required. Daylight VFR only. 5 minutes by car to 1850.

  • Chambéry Savoie (CMF)

    ~90 min by road

Most mid-size and large-cabin jets land here in winter — Challenger 350, Falcon 7X, Gulfstream G450/G650, Global 6000. Helicopter shuttle in 18 minutes, road transfer in 90.

  • Geneva (GVA)

~2h15 by road · 35 min by heli

Default for trans-Atlantic and long-range arrivals (BBJ, ACJ, Global 7500, G700). Helicopter from the GVA business terminal is the standard onward link.

  • Annecy Meythet (NCY)

    ~2h00 by road

Smaller alternative to Geneva. Useful when GVA slots are saturated over peak weeks (Christmas, NY, February half-term, end of season).

  • Grenoble (GNB)

    ~2h30 by road

Mostly used as a back-up for Chambéry when winter weather closes the Savoie valley. Larger runway, full ILS, but a longer road transfer.
