Après-Ski
The Courchevel 1850 afternoon has its own choreography — champagne and seafood on the snow, then a slow migration into the village by 18:30. Less raucous than Verbier; more glamorous than St Anton.
Where to wind down
La Folie Douce
Top of Plantrey · cabaret après
The original mountain-top après — live brass, dancers on tables, champagne by the magnum. Daily 14:30–17:00.
Cap Horn
Altiport · long lunch into dusk
Lunch service rolls into a champagne-and-DJ afternoon — the locals' refined alternative to Folie Douce.
Bagatelle Courchevel
Centre · Mediterranean
St-Tropez-coded après — rosé, oysters and a famous magnum service that escalates after sunset.
Le Tremplin
Centre · brasserie terrace
The local après since 1947 — sun-trap terrace, oysters from Cancale and a quietly serious wine list.
Le Bar des Neiges — Barrière
Hotel bar · live music
Smoothest hotel après in the village — pianist nightly, classic cocktail menu, no booking needed.
Le Cap — Cheval Blanc
Hotel terrace · champagne
Cheval Blanc's outdoor bar opens at 16:00 — Krug by the glass and the most discreet après in town.
Frequently asked
When does après-ski actually happen?
Mountain-top sessions: 14:30–17:00. Village terraces: 17:30–19:30. After 20:00 the village pivots fully to dinner service.
Is there an après-ski for non-skiers?
Yes — Le Tremplin, Bagatelle and the Cheval Blanc bar are all village-accessible without lift passes or ski kit.
Should I reserve for après?
Folie Douce and Bagatelle on Saturdays — yes. Most other rooms accept walk-ins.
